The development of the Ada programming language was sponsored by the U.S. Department of Defense to offer programmers a tool that better supports modern software engineering techniques.

Today, Ada is used in nuclear power plants, advanced weapon systems, Boeing and Airbus aircrafts, rockets and satellites flight software, and numerous more mundane applications from banking to steel mills.

This highly practical introduction and mentoring package is intended as an intensive demonstration of the key concepts of Ada programming on the job.

Benefits

This highly practical and intensive workshop approach:

Demonstrates the proper use of major Ada features

Show how to use the Reference Manual and the Rational for continuous personal improvement

Integrates advanced software engineering practices in daily activities

Shows how to build reliable and highly maintainable Ada software on the job

Emphasizes team work as well as personal best

Fosters alignment with any existing SPI action (such as ISO or CMM)

Fosters alignment with business goals by involving management

Who should attend?

This one week mentoring package consists in 50% consulting on the job. Three days are devoted to classroom lectures and exercises. The other two days are reserved for consulting on the job at the customer site. The package also includes a 45 minutes presentation and meeting with management to foster true commitment.
